The brother of one of the men charged in the disappearance and murder of Holly Bobo, a Tennessee nursing student who vanished in 2011, has now been been indicted.

John Dylan Adams was indicted this week on charges of premeditated first-degree murder, murder in the perpetration of the aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape, according to the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office.

Adams had already faced two counts of rape related to the case. He pleaded not guilty.

His brother, Zachary Adams, and Jason Wayne Autry were indicted last year on charges of murder and kidnapping. They also pleaded not guilty to those charges.

This week, the three defendants were indicted on new charges in connection with Bobo’s murder after a special grand jury met this week.

On May 20, the three men were charged with an eight-count grand jury indictment that supersedes their previous charges. These include one count of premeditated first degree murder, two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and three counts of aggravated rape.

All three men will be arraigned on the new charges on June 3, when they will enter their pleas.

Bobo was 20 years old when she vanished on the morning of April 13, 2011, after a neighbor reportedly heard a scream come from her home in Parsons, Tennessee, and called her mother at work, who then called Bobo’s brother at home, telling him to call 911.

Her brother told police that he saw a man dressed in camouflage leading his sister into the woods. Investigators and volunteers searched the areas around the West Tennessee town for any trace of Bobo, but were unable to initially find her.

More than four years later, on Sept. 7, 2014, two hikers found Bobo’s remains in a wooded area in rural Decatur County, Tennessee, not far from her home, on property owned by the family of Zachary Adams.

Sean Austin, a key witness in the murder with immunity, committed suicide on Feb. 23.
