Former child star, Brian Bonsall, who played Michael J. Fox’s kid brother, Andy Keaton, in Family Ties, is in trouble again: this time for probation violation.

Bonsall, 26, of Boulder, Colo., was sentenced in 2007 to two years’ probation for assaulting his girlfriend. She claimed that he poured an alcoholic drink on her face as she slept, choked her and threw her on a bed.

As part of his sentencing, Bonsall agreed to take domestic violence classes and to stay away from drugs and alcohol. But according to the complaint filed in Boulder District Court, Bonsall, who is unemployed, couldn’t pay for his classes, missed breathalyzer tests and walked out on a required urine test.

Bonsall is due back in court on Wednesday. New recommendations for his probation could include 60 days of work release, required attendance at AA meetings, as well as paying for the domestic violence classes.
