Emile Hirsch looked every inch the movie star as he posed for a mug shot after a court appearance in Park City, Utah, on Monday.

The 30-year-old, who is charged with felony assault after an altercation with a woman at the Sundance Film Festival in January, was clean-shaven and wore a black suit, white shirt and black tie. He posed for the surprisingly good-looking mug shot after briefly appearing in court.

The Into the Wild actor, who was also charged with intoxication, could face up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine if he’s found guilty of assaulting a female film executive at Tao nightclub on Jan. 25.

Police say Hirsch allegedly grabbed Daniele Bernfeld from behind, putting her into a chokehold and pulling her across a table.

“He consumed an enormous amount of alcohol on the evening in question and he doesn’t have any memory of what happened at the time of the allegations,” Hirsch’s representative told PEOPLE in February.

“Emile has been a mess for a long time,” a source told PEOPLE.

After the incident, Hirsch checked himself into rehab, his rep confirmed, “to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.”
