It was a bumpy ride for The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan on Monday.

While aboard an international flight, the Irish singer reportedly caused a major disturbance.

According to the BBC, O’Riordan had a run-in with an air hostess, which resulted in her arrest.

A Shannon Airport spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE that there was “an incident on board the daily morning Aer Lingus service from New York to Shannon on its arrival at Shannon. The matter is now being dealt with by An Garda Séochéna [Irish Police].”

Following the incident, O’Riordan, 43, was reportedly taken to a local hospital where she received treatment before being released into police custody.

Prior to the flight taking off, one passenger noticed that O’Riordan was exhibiting strange behavior.

“So Dolores ‘Cranberry’ O’Riordan just boarded our JFK/SNN flight wearing red & black Superhero mask #strange,” passenger Pat Carroll Tweeted.

As for the cause of O’Riordan’s behavior, the singer has not yet issued a statement.
