Detroit Man Sentenced for Murdering Wife, But Children Remain Missing
Children Kaylah and Kristian Fox have not been seen since last May
More than a year after pleading guilty killing his estranged wife, a Detroit man was sentenced to 45 to 80 years in prison last week.
Erin Justice, 29, pleaded to the second degree murder of Alicia Fox, 27, last May. Prosecutors believe Justice fatally shot her and then put her body in an abandoned house.
According to WXYZ, Justice remains the only suspect in the disappearance of Fox’s two young children, Kaylah, 8, and Kristian, 8 months, the latter of which is Justice’s son.
Maria Miller, communications director for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, tells PEOPLE that Fox and the two children were seen at a family barbecue on May 24 of last year. While Fox’s dead body was discovered by relatives in June, the children have not been seen since.
Another man, Timothy B. Jones, pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to a felony for helping Justice dispose of the body. Today, Jones was sentenced to two to five years in prison.
