Conrad Hilton has reportedly been sent to a substance abuse treatment after failing drug tests and violating his probation.
According to the Associated Press and City News Service, a Los Angeles judge on Tuesday ordered the hotel heir to enter a residential treatment program for at least 90 days for violating his probation.
The judge rejected a request by authorities to put Hilton behind bars for 60 days, the AP reports.
Hilton, 21, was sentenced to probation and community service last year after pleading guilty to disrupting a British Airways flight. (Hilton was accused of assaulting and intimidating the crew to the point where it interfered with their ability to perform their duties, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.)
According to the AP, authorities said he violated his probation by trespassing, failing drug tests, failing to complete three treatment programs and traveling out of California without permission from his probation officer.
