Christina Grimmie’s Family Greets Thousands of Mourners at Late Singer’s Public Memorial
Grimmie died at 22 years old on June 11 after being shot by a deranged fan after a show in Orlando. A GoFundMe page was set up by the singer’s longtime manager, Brian Teefey, to support her family during their time of mourning. (It will close July 10).
The former Voice contestant was laid to rest in a private funeral in her home state of New Jersey on June 16, and thousands of mourners gathered at a public memorial one day later to remember the singer.
“This crowd has blessed me beyond words,” Bud told the crowd gathered at Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford. “There is a gigantic hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away, but God showed me he is way bigger than that hole. I believe that. I know I am going to see her again.”
