Chris Brown has left the rehab facility he entered last month after his assault arrest but is still receiving treatment, his rep tells PEOPLE.

“Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area. He appreciates all of your encouragement and support,” the rep says.

The Grammy-winning R&B singer, 24, entered the unidentified rehab facility shortly after he and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were released Oct. 28 without bail from a Washington D.C. jail after a felony assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.

They had been arrested following an altercation with another man outside the W Hotel. Brown is still on probation for beating up Rihanna in 2009. Brown s sentence also included community service and a yearlong domestic violence course.
