Chris Brown Checks Into Rehab
The singer, who was recently arrested for assault, is seeking treatment "to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior"
“Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility,” his rep says in a statement. “His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”
The Grammy-winning R&B singer, 24, and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were released without bail from a Washington, D.C., jail Monday after a felony assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor.
They had been arrested early Sunday morning following an altercation with another man outside the W Hotel. The man was treated at the hospital and released. Brown’s attorney denied the singer committed a crime.
Brown had two events scheduled at 1 OAK in Las Vegas – a Halloween party on Nov. 1 as well as a New Year’s Eve bash – but both have been canceled.
