Former NBA player turned CBS basketball analyst Greg Anthony was slated to work this weekend’s Michigan State-Maryland basketball game, but ended up getting suspended by the network after his arrest by police in Washington, D.C., on Friday afternoon for soliciting a prostitute.

“He was arrested, processed and released,” Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Hugh Carew tells PEOPLE.

Anthony, 47, played for a number of pro teams during his 11 seasons in the NBA and joined CBS in 2008, working as an analyst covering college basketball. He will be arraigned on Feb. 3 in a Washington, D.C., courtroom and faces a maximum sentence of up to 180 days in jail.

A network spokesman told Reuters that the former point guard “will not be working again for CBS this season.”
