Isidro Garcia, 41, of Bell Gardens, California, allegedly kidnapped the teen in 2004 while he lived with her mother, according to reports. The victim, who is married to Garcia, came forward on Tuesday after finding her long-lost sister on Facebook, Santa Ana police reveal. She told police that after allegedly assaulting her mother in August 2004, Garcia drugged her and drove her to a house in Compton, where she was locked overnight in a garage. He kept her there, telling the teen that her family wasn’t looking for her and they would be deported if she contacted police, according to authorities. Detectives say he provided the girl with fake identification and used physical and mental abuse to prevent her from fleeing. The girl’s mother reported her missing and suspected Garcia of sexually abusing her daughter, but had no evidence. Garcia moved several times with the girl to avoid capture and even arranged for both of them to work for a night cleaning service so that he could keep watch over her, according to police. The woman, now 25, said that she saw no way out of her situation and Garcia forced her to marry him in 2007. They had a child five years later. The victim recently contacted her sister on Facebook and eventually found the courage to contact the police.
