The boyfriend of slain reporter Alison Parker, who was fatally shot during a live broadcast on Wednesday morning, is speaking out.

Chris Hurst, a fellow reporter at CBS affiliate WDBJ7, said in a series of Tweets that he had been dating the 24-year-old reporter for about nine months and that they hoped to get married some day.

In the heartbreaking Tweets, he called Parker “the most radiant woman I ever met,” adding that he’s “numb” after learning of her death.

Cameraman Adam Ward, 27, was also killed in the shooting. In another Tweet, Hurst wrote that he’s “heartbroken” for Ward’s fiancée.

Police told WSLS that the shooting occurred at about 6:45 a.m. at the Bridgewater Plaza. Deputies from Franklin and Bedford Counties are on the scene, WBDJ reports.

A video of the incident shows Parker interviewing a woman before multiple shots ring out. Screams are heard as the scene goes out of frame, with the camera facing the ground, and the broadcast cuts back to the anchor desk.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe told WTOP authorities believe the shooter is a “disgruntled employee of the station.”

The gunman remains at large.
