Bobbi Kristina Brown's court-appointed conservator filed a complaint Wednesday as she is moved to hospice care
“Today I filed a lawsuit on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. I filed this lawsuit to pursue justice on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. No human being, male or female, should endure what Bobbi Kristina endured,” Bedelia C. Hargrove told PEOPLE in a statement through Pat Houston’s lawyer David W. Long-Daniels.
“Pat Houston and Bobby Brown have done all they can to take care of Bobbi Kristina since this terrible tragedy occurred. I have worked closely with both of them and we all want the very best for Bobbi Kristina,” continues the statement. “This lawsuit represents our collective efforts to get justice for Bobbi Kristina. We pray that justice will be done for her and that it will be swift.”
A representative for Gordon did not immediately respond for comment, but Gordon Tweeted about Bobbi Kristina on Wednesday, writing, “We keep praying, she has fought hard this long don’t give up hope.”
In the complaint filed June 24 in Fulton County, Gordon – who lived with the only child of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston and has been barred from seeing Bobbi Kristina – is accused of causing “substantial bodily harm” to her after perpetuating “the fraud that he had married Brown” after she inherited a substantial amount of money.
The papers, which PEOPLE has obtained a copy of, allege that Gordon misrepresented himself as Bobbi Kristina’s husband to control her and limit her interactions with others.
He “often answered Brown’s personal cell phone, would not allow her to make appointments without his approval, and manipulated her bank relationship so that he could access her money,” the papers state. He also allegedly transferred a “large portion” of Bobbi Kristina’s funds into an account controlled solely by him.
On April 14, Fulton County Court issued a restraining order against Gordon for stalking an unnamed trustee of Bobbi Kristina’s trusts; Gordon is accused of committing domestic violence on Bobbi Kristina thereafter, “including punching her in the face, knocking out a front tooth and dragging her upstairs by her hair.”
Bobbi Kristina allegedly confided to an unnamed person that Gordon “was not the man she thought he was” and made plans to meet on Jan. 31 to discuss the situation further.
However, the papers state she never made it to the meeting and instead “became embroiled in a loud argument” with Gordon at her town home, which ended with her “face down in a bathtub, with her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out” and being diagnosed with “global and irreversible brain damage.”

Bobbi Kristina’s conservators claim even after she was hospitalized, Gordon continued to access her account, stealing “in excess of $11,000.”
