Manhunt Underway for Maryland Bank Robbers Dubbed the 'Black Hat Bandits'
The FBI has released a video of the elusive thieves wanted in connection with a series of bank robberies
A manhunt is underway for a pair of bank robbers known as the “Black Hat Bandits.”
The two armed fugitives have held up seven banks across Maryland between Jan 2. and Feb. 18, according to a video released by the FBI.
The video (above) contains surveillance footage from a robbery that took place on Jan. 30 at Essex Bank in Arnold, Maryland.
The robbers have become increasingly bold, the FBI says, “most recently holding a gun to a customer’s head and jumping teller counters in attempts to gain access [to] bank vaults.”
On Feb. 18, they pair hit two banks 40 minutes apart.
The FBI is offering a $30,000 reward in exchange for information that will lead to the thieves’ capture.
