As stores opened their doors for Black Friday sales, multiple violent incidents have occurred across the country.

Tragedy in New Jersey

A man is dead and his brother is hospitalized following an early morning shooting in the parking lot of a New Jersey mall, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 1 a.m. outside a Macy’s department store at the Hamilton Mall. According to the outlet, officers arrived at the scene to find a 20-year-old man from Atlantic City, who had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim’s 26-years-old brother suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and is in stable condition at a local hospital.

A silver SUV was riddled with bullet holes, but police have not identified a suspect.

Deadly Violence in Reno

A Thanksgiving night dispute in the parking lot of a Nevada Walmart has left one man dead.

Lt. Scott Shaw of the Reno Police Department told KOLO that shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, two drivers got into an argument apparently over a parking spot. According to Fox 6, both parties involved in the argument were armed and a 33-year-old man was shot dead at the scene.

After asking for the public’s help in locating a dark-colored Toyota Camry or Corolla with damage to one of the side windows, police have located those involved in the fatal shooting, according to KOLO. No arrests have been made, the outlet reported.

The Reno Police Department was not immediately available for further comment.

Hospitalization Following Tennessee Shooting

Three suspects were arrested after shots were fired during an incident at Wolfchase Galleria Mall in Memphis, Tennessee.

Police spokesman Louis Brownlee said in an email Friday morning that an off-duty officer responded to a report of gunfire in the mall’s parking lot at 11:19 p.m. Thursday.

In addition to many vehicles being hit by the shots, a male was also struck. The man was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

Officers have three suspects in custody. No charges have been filed at this time, and the motive of the shooting is unknown.

Kentucky Mall Fight Results in Arrests

Two men were arrested Thursday night after getting into a physical altercation and causing a scare at a Kentucky mall during Black Friday sales, police say.

According to authorities, police responded to Belk in the Somerset Mall to aid deputies on site helping with the holiday shopping events.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., two men, including one who possessed a gun under a concealed carry permit, began an argument that turned physical, police said. At one point, the man with the gun put his hand on the weapon in order to secure it, according to statements.

Despite rumors of a shooting spreading on social media, police say the gun was not discharged during the dispute.

Both men were arrested by authorities.
