At least five people have been killed and another three injured after a shooting in Wilkinsburg Pennsylvania, a borough outside of Pittsburgh, according to reports.

Lt. Andrew Schurman of the Allegheny County homicide unit told Fox News that four people were dead when police arrived and another died after being transported to local hospitals, along with three other victims who are being treated for their injuries.

The deceased reportedly includes four women and one man.

The shooting occurred late Wednesday in an area that resident Kayla Alexander says is usually quiet, the Associated Press reports.

According to WPXI-TV, approximately seven ambulances were at the scene and officers from a number of neighboring police departments showed up to help. Alexander also told the station that she heard over 20 shots before seeing at least four men flee the scene.

As yet police have not apprehended any suspects.
