Arizona State Student Kidnapped and Raped on Her Walk Home from a Party
An 18-year-old student at Arizona State University was kidnapped and raped while walking home from a party early Monday morning.
She told police that she was on her way home when an unidentified man pulled her into his vehicle, then drove her to a nearby location and sexually assaulted her, ABC15 reports.
She managed to escape, running to a Chevron gas station for help. The clerk called Tempe, Ariz., police, who arrived on the scene at around 4:30 a.m.
The woman was able to provide a description of her alleged assailant to authorities. They located the person of interest later on Monday, and he is being questioned in connection with the attack.
“Thank you to a very good witness,” the Tempe police wrote on Twitter.
