Police: Alabama Daycare Center was Front for Gambling Operation
28 slot machines were seized during a raid on Growing Little Lambs Developmental Center in Birmingham
Police in Alabama have arrested two men for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation which they disguised as a daycare center.
A police official confirms to PEOPLE that 28 slot machines were seized during a raid on Growing Little Lambs Developmental Center in Birmingham, calling the space a “mini-casino.”
An investigation into the business, which culminated in a raid on Wednesday, began more than a month ago following an ordinary late-night traffic stop.
The police official claims the driver told police he’d just come from the daycare center and got suspicious because of the late hour.
