Sportscaster Al Michaels was arrested on suspicion of DUI Friday night, according to Santa Monica police.

Police Sgt. Thomas McLaughlin confirmed to PEOPLE Sunday that Michaels, the play-by-play announcer for NBC’s Sunday Night Football was just over the legal limit and booked for DUI .08 or greater. He was ordered to appear in court on June 26.

“He was observed making an illegal u-turn in a business district,” says Sgt. Richard Lewis.

“Two motor officers observed the violation and pulled him over at approximately 9:30 p.m., he was determined to be under the influence and arrested.”

It’s unfortunately been a weekend of DUI headlines: bassist Todd Harrell of 3 Doors Down was behind bars Sunday on suspicion of vehicular homicide after allegedly causing a fatal crash while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

News also broke Sunday that Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth were arrested and briefly jailed Friday in a DUI incident in Atlanta.
