Adam Levine was attacked with a sugar bomb outside Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday evening.

The Maroon 5 singer was signing autographs for fans together with his fellow band members when he was hit with the powdered sugar, CNN reports.

Needless to say, Levine, 36, was not pleased. “It looked like he wanted to fight the guy,” Laura Tijerina, who was in the crowd, told the network. “I think this guy had it planned. It was a brown bag with tape around it, which was weird.

She added: “I just saw powder everywhere. It was just so quick.”

Levine was not hurt in the attack. The suspect, however, was restrained by security and arrested on suspicion of battery, PEOPLE confirms.
