Two people have been wounded in a shooting at Georgia State Campus, according to multiple reports.

WSB-TV spoke to Atlanta police who said one of the victims was “alert, conscious and breathing” but the other victim’s condition is currently unknown.

Georgia State University later revealed that police informed them the shooting was drug related.

The shooting reportedly took place at a parking lot near Piedmont Avenue and Ellis Street NE at around 9:30pm. Fox5 report that police made two arrests at the scene.

A freshman at GSU told The Atlanta Journal that they heard people arguing around the time of the shooting, but thought it was “just regular stuff” before hearing gunshots.

NBC affiliate WXIA reports that the shooter and one victim were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The official twitter account for Georgia State University tweeted: “Police are working the shooting at Piedmont and Ellis. Shooter and victim transported to Grady. We will post more information as it comes in.”
