Once the star of MTV’s popular show 16 and Pregnant, Valerie Fairman was arrested for prostitution on Thursday in Delaware.

Fairman, 21, was arrested with seven other women as part of a multi-agency prostitution sting, PEOPLE confirms.

According to law enforcement, Fairman was in New Castle, Delaware, when she allegedly offered to perform a sexual act on an undercover officer in exchange for money.

State police said in a statement that the sting areas “were targeted in response to numerous citizen complaints of prostitution and other quality of life crimes that have been occurring.”

Fairman was the youngest woman arrested, which was a joint operation with the Delaware State Police, New Castle County Governor’s Task Force, Delaware State Police New Castle County Drug Unit, the New Castle County Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department.

During her time on the show, Fairman was known for her fights with boyfriend Matt, including one notable spat where she had to convince him he was the father to her child, Nevaeh Lynn.

Fairman was issued a criminal summons to appear in court, with a hearing date pending.

TMZ first reported the arrest.
