Entertainment Music Country Thomas Rhett Explains His Stanky Leg Performance with Brett Eldredge The Whip/Nae Nae craze has officially gone country By Eileen Finan Published on November 3, 2015 12:30 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: John Shearer/Getty Who says guys in suits (and boots) can’t get a little stanky? Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge proved country boys know how to get down when they got in on the “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” craze on Thursday in New York City. Rhett and Eldredge’s epic moment came during the duo’s encore on the opening night of their Suits & Boots tour. After performing a medley of non-country hits, including Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and One Direction’s “Drag Me Down,” Rhett started busting moves to Silenté’s smash. Eldredge followed along – until his buddy broke out the stanky leg. “We just like to be goofy,” Rhett – who performed at Sunday’s Miles & Music for Kids – told PEOPLE of their shenanigans. “We flip a coin to see who goes on stage first every night and then we always do the encore together. We get up there and talk and banter and pick songs off the fly.” He continued, “For some reason, I just like to dance and I think it’s funny to watch Brett try to dance.” Luckily for fans, CMT shared the moment on Instagram, where it can be replayed until their next surprise.
