Miranda Lambert has had to cancel her Thursday night concert at Calgary Stampede, due to a serious inflammation of the vocal cords.
“I can’t believe this is happening. I am sure most of you heard the news about the show in Calgary having to be rescheduled due to my vocal issues,” the musician wrote in an announcement on her website. “Thanks for all your posts and well wishes, I promise I will do everything to get better quickly!”
The news that the singer was unable to perform came as a shock to fans, since just 10 hours earlier, Lambert posted a message on Facebook, asking for those attending the Calgary show to send in photos to be displayed on the big screen during her performance of “All Kinds of Kinds.”
Ticket holders should retain their ticket for the not yet rescheduled concert, and should continue to check the Stampede’s and Ticketmaster’s websites for rescheduling updates.
