Go Behind-the-Scenes with Miranda Lambert (and Her Husband and Horse!) on the 'Settling Down' Video
The country star takes PEOPLE through her recent at-home shoot on the farm
This video and this song is very personal to me and I felt like it's the perfect time to shoot something at my farm, especially during these times.
It was shot on my farm in Tennessee. We ended up with the perfect sunny day for the filming — until about 7 p.m. when it started raining!
I loved being able to incorporate personal props, like the vintage picnic basket from my mom filled with my own Red 55 Winery wine and flowers from my garden.
This was Brendan’s first on-camera video shoot with me. "Settling Down" was his favorite song from my Wildcard record so it was great we were able to shoot this video together and give fans a glimpse into our life on the farm.
A quiet moment in the hammock.
Trey Fanjoy has directed every single one of my music videos and we collaborate really well together. She is incredible, and you can catch her here with the DP checking the monitor and ensuring we got the right shots.
This was a beautiful scene in a field where I am performing barefoot.
The other loves of my life are my horses, which was an element I wanted to fully capture in this video.
I got to gallop with my horse Gibson through the fields, which resulted in an incredible fairy tale sequence.
I wasn't the only one who got glammed up that day. My hair stylist, Johnny Lavoy, took it upon himself to ensure everyone was properly hair styled by braiding my horse's hair!
It was fun getting to shoot this video with my husband —he did such a great job.
