The country musician reportedly dumped her salad on a woman in a Nashville steakhouse on Sunday
Miranda Lambert reportedly dumped a salad on a woman in a Nashville restaurant on Sunday after the woman’s husband got into an argument with Lambert’s friend.
According to a TMZ report released on Wednesday, sources told the outlet that the incident happened Sunday night at the Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill in Nashville. The outlet reports that the country singer was eating with her mother and a family friend when the fight broke out.
TMZ reported that the argument occurred between Lambert’s friend and an “older man,” and that the argument began after someone made “a wisecrack about millennials and their phones” in the men’s bathroom at the restaurant.
Sources told the outlet that Lambert then “had to be held back” after the man went up to her table and “started screaming.”
According to TMZ, Lambert eventually walked over to the man’s table and dumped a salad on his wife.
Nashville police confirmed to PEOPLE that they responded to a call regarding two men fighting at Stoney River Steakhouse on Sunday evening around 8:00 p.m., though they cannot confirm Lambert was involved. When cops arrived, the men declined to press charges and no report was filed.
The steakhouse did not immediately respond to request for comment, while a rep for Lambert had no comment on the situation when reached by PEOPLE.
