Martina McBride‘s latest video reminds those battling cancer that there is always hope.
“Many of us know someone affected by cancer and want to help,” McBride said before premiering the video. “Which is why I’m supporting Band Against Cancer, a movement focused on empowering all those touched by this terrible disease. We all know music has the ability to inspire, and I’m honored to share a video that I hope will do that.”

She also added in a statement: “Having the strength and faith to know that there are better days just around the corner is such an important message for us to share with everyone fighting this brave battle.”
“Just Around the Corner” is the latest single off her latest album, Reckless. The video is directed by Matthew Underwood, who also directed Jamie Lynn Spears‘s “How Could I Want More” video.
The video depicts a young mother who finds strength from her family as she battles her cancer diagnosis.
“Just around the corner, the sun’s a little warmer, the storm is blowing over, it’s finally over,” McBride sings. “The weight that you’ve been holding, the faith that’s been broken, ain’t broken any longer, and you’ll be stronger.”
Band Against Cancer is a community-based movement formed in partnership with McBride, Big Label Music Group and the Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
McBride will continue to support the cause on the Sarah Cannon Tour this summer.
The video’s premiere at the CMT Awards was in conjunction withCMT One Country – the music channel’s organization that “celebrates the accomplishments of everyday heroes and showcases nonprofit partners that are working to keep America great.”
