Keith Urban was not going to let a 10,000-mile distance stop him from celebrating his 10th anniversary with Nicole Kidman.

On Saturday night, the country singer, 48, paid tribute to his wife and kids at his concert in Mansfield, Massachusetts. And at one point in the show, he took some time to FaceTime them while on stage.

He told fans that being separated on their anniversary was not part of the couple’s plan. In fact, Kidman, 49, was supposed to be in Boston for the show.

“We booked the tour at the beginning of the year and June 25th was going to happen in Boston,” he told fans in a video captured by an audience member. “And so, I said to Nic, ‘I can’t work on our anniversary and so maybe we’ll play Boston another time.’ And she said, ‘What about I come up to Boston instead?’ I said, ‘That’s a great plan.’ ”

But at the last minute, filming plans changed for Kidman’s upcoming second season of the show Top of the Lake, and she had to stay in Australia.

Urban was especially appreciative of his supportive fans, and gave a shout-out to them on Instagram, writing, “It was an extra special night because it was our 10 year anniversary and you guys made the sweetest signs down in the front. It was amazing, thank you so much!!!”

And the couple certainly celebrated their day via social media. Urban posted an adorable throwback photo of the couple just after their first meeting in January 2005 at a gala dinner in Los Angeles honoring notable Australians.

Meanwhile, Kidman previously said that this anniversary is more than a one-day celebration.

“We actually said we’re gonna celebrate all year,” she told E! in April.

Urban and Kidman were married on June 25, 2006, and have two daughters together, Sunday, 7, and Faith, 5. Kidman has two children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.
