Kane Brown and Chris Young are bringing the fire to the studio.

In a behind the scenes look at the making of their duet, “Setting the Night on Fire,” shared exclusively with PEOPLE, the country stars are all smiles as they hit the studio for recording sessions and play some Topgolf around Nashville in the Alex Alvga-produced clip.

Brown can next be seen joining Young as a special guest on his Chris Young Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour, named after Young’s recently released 7th studio album, starting in January.

“I’ve always looked up to Chris Young and been a fan of his music,” Brown, 24, tells PEOPLE. “Now being able to go out on tour with him is a really exciting opportunity.”

Though “Setting the Night on Fire” — which Young and Brown co-wrote for Brown’s self-titled deluxe album released in October — is not a radio single, fans can look forward to the chance of seeing the pair perform it live on tour.

“I’m sure we’ll do some more songwriting when we’re out on the road,” Young, 32, says. “Maybe you’ll catch us doing ‘Setting the Night on Fire’ out on tour too.”

This isn’t the first time the longtime friends have hit the road together — both Brown and Young performed as special guests on Jason Aldean‘s They Don’t Know Tour in 2017.

“Kane and I had a great time on Jason’s tour this year, and I’m really excited to have him out with me starting in January,” Young says.

As Young and Brown gear up to tour together in 2018, it’s worth recognizing that they’ve both had major years. Young was inducted as the newest member of the iconic Grand Ole Opry in October and Brown is currently headlining his own tour dates — while also planning a wedding with his fiancée Katelyn Jae! Due to his extensive touring schedule, Brown previously told PEOPLE that he and his fiancé are planning to tie the knot next fall as “that was the only open, free date that I had.”
