Joey Feek Shares Sweet Moment with Daughter Indiana in Hospice Care
The singer, who has stage-4 cancer, smiles from ear to ear as she bonds with family
Love abounds for Joey Feek.
The mother and daughter wear matching caps as they put on happy faces for the camera in Joey’s bed at her childhood home in Alexandria, Indiana, where she is surrounded by family in what might be her final days.
The duo is joined by Joey’s sister Jody, who bares an uncanny resemblance to the country star and shaved off her hair in a touching display of solidarity with other family members.
Despite entering hospice care with stage-4 cervical cancer earlier this month, Joey is holding out hope that she will live to celebrate Christmas with her family and see little Indiana turn 2 years old in February.
“Joey’s hope never fades,” her husband and singing partner Rory wrote in a post to his blog This Life I Live on Saturday. “No amount of pain or medicine can touch it. It runs too deep. It’s connected to her faith in God. And as she will tell you, God can do anything.”
