The song, which is also nominated for a Grammy and is Campbell’s final recording, appears in the critically praised documentary Glen Campbell I’ll Be Me. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011, Campbell, 78, embarked on a tour with more than 150 dates, performing to packed stadiums across the country. The film follows his final tour and his struggle with the disease and gives fans a look at what went on behind the scenes as the legendary performer’s mind degenerated. Campbell now resides at a full-time care facility specializing in the Alzheimer’s. The Academy Awards air live on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 7p.m. ET/4p.m. PT on ABC.
