For the first time since 2008, there is a new Garth Brooks song playing on country radio!

The singer released “People Loving People” to radio this morning, ahead of his world tour kick-off in Chicago Thursday night.

Listen here.

For Brooks fans, it’s been a long time coming: The singer released his first album in 1989 and went on to rule the country charts throughout the 1990s. To date, he is still the best-selling album artist in the U.S.

His comeback project, his first studio album since 2001’s Scarecrow, is expected around Black Friday in November.

Brooks’s wife, Trisha Yearwood, recently announced her own return to music, with a plan to release the album PrizeFighter – her first in seven years – sometime in the near future.
