So Smooth! Inside Florida Georgia Line's Boston Stadium Kick Off with BSB and Nelly
It's definitely "hot in herre" once Nelly takes the stage. "It's a fun vibe, and the thing I love about FGL is their appreciation for all kinds of music," the rapper tells PEOPLE. "They're country artists but they're real fans of music, period, across the board. They know their hip-hop. They know their R&B. They know their pop."
The Backstreet Boys were "larger than life" running through a wide-ranging set of hits. "An unforgettable night at the legendary Fenway Park," they wrote on Instagram. "Thank you for singing with us, Boston!"
"Fenway!!! Y'all blew our minds," Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard wrote on Instagam following the show. "What an epic first stadium show!!! Thank you all!!!!"
Hubbard reps the Red Sox while onstage with Kelley.
"Get your party right, it's a Friday night," Hubbard joked prior to the show, a nod to their hit "Anything Goes."
Hubbard digs his roots — and strums his guitar — mid-show.
FGL and BSB join forces for "God, Your Mama, and Me." "It turned out to be a smash and [we] couldn't be happier," A.J. McLean tells PEOPLE. "They've been a huge inspiration to us and vice versa. Hopefully we can do a lot more with these guys."
The two teams take a moment to celebrate their chart-topper onstage. "If you told me growing up that I would share a No. 1 song with BSB, I would have told you to get outta here!" Kelley says.
The view from the top. "Still can't get over playing Fenway," Kelley captioned a similar shot on Instagram. "Still mind blown!!! Kinda puts the night into perspective."
