Eric Paslay Is Engaged to Natalie Harker
The country singer proposed over the holidays and plans to wed in the spring
Congratulations are in order for “Friday Night” singer Eric Paslay, who proposed to his girlfriend Natalie Harker over the holidays.
Paslay, 32, announced the happy news to The Tennessean, telling the paper that their longtime friendship eventually turned to love. After dating for over two years – and knowing each other for seven – Paslay popped the question on Dec. 30.
Harker met Paslay while working at his previous publishing company. “She was the one that got a bunch of my songs cut, heck all of my hits recorded,” said Paslay. “We’ve got a bunch of fun memories together. I keep joking, ‘I guess I have to keep her.’ I’d be a fool to let her go.”
Once she left to work for a different publishing company, “Friendship turned into something a bit deeper,” Paslay said.
It won’t be a long engagement – Paslay told The Tennesseean that the couple plan to marry in the spring. “She’s already got the venue and a dress and all kinds of stuff,” he revealed. “She’s on it. She’s pretty organized, so that’s good. She hasn’t been a bridezilla, so that’s even better.”
With Harker on the case for the bulk of their wedding planning, Paslay was charged with one responsibility – the music. Seems fitting, to be sure, but he certainly won’t be choosing any of his own music for the reception: “Heck no. That’d just be arrogant and awful.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
