Entertainment Music Country Whoa! See Dierks Bentley Like You've Never Seen Him Before By Danielle Anderson Published on January 16, 2015 12:20 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Courtesy Hot Country Knights/Facebook. Inset: Jason Merritt/Getty January is a time to kick back and enjoy some time off for most country artists, but apparently not for Dierks Bentley. The singer has been using his down time to jump into freezing cold lakes – and to work on getting a new band together. Meet Douglas "Big Rhythm Doug" Douglason, Bentley’s newest persona and the front man to the band Hot Country Knights. Really, has the mullet-and-mustache-style ever looked sexier? “I have a little alter ego,” Bentley, 39, recently told PEOPLE. “I’m working on a little something something with my guys in the band. It’s a little side project – a little bit of a ’90s country cover band. We specialize in ’90s country, which was a great era in country music.” So when can fans see “Big Rhythm Doug” in action? The band (check out their video below) is planning to make their live debut at an invite-only event at The Stage in Nashville on Feb. 25, so stay tuned! Go Behind the Scenes at Dierks Bentley’s Bar!
