Searchers are desperately combing Kentucky Lake for Jerry Greer, the 19-year-old son of country singer Craig Morgan, following a boating accident on Sunday.

Greer was tubing with friends when he fell off and entered the water in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

“It was just as simple as hitting a wave and turning over and not coming back up,” Sheriff Chris Davis, who also confirmed Greer was wearing a life jacket at the time, told local reporters.

It is not yet known why he went under despite wearing a life jacket.
