Country singer and avid outdoorsman Craig Morgan‘s idea of heaven might just be the Deer and Turkey Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. Seriously.

“For me, it don’t get any better than that right there!” says the “This Ole Boy” singer, who is performing at the expo on Jan. 31. “I get to do a show at a place that’s packed with all of the other stuff that I love. I’ll one-hundred percent be going around and looking at all the cool, fun hunting stuff before I perform.”

For Morgan, who recently traveled to Namibia, Africa, where he hunted kudu, hartebeest and warthog (“Believe it or not, I was actually after a baboon, but we didn’t get one!” he says), the experience of hunting is therapeutic.

“Absolutely. One-hundred percent,” he says. “I know therapists that would tell people to go spend some time in the outdoors. Go walk around in the woods and cool off, and you’ll start paying attention to things that are out there and forget about all the things that bother you.”
