If Blake Shelton were to be honest, he’d probably say he missed having girlfriend Gwen Stefani by his side at this year’s CMT Music Awards.
The country crooner hit the stage to perform his current single “Every Time I Hear That Song” off his tenth studio album, If I’m Honest. And while Stefani wasn’t there to support him in person this time, she gave him some social media love from afar.
“Watching this guy @blakeshelton #cmtawards gx,” she captioned a photo of herself gazing adoringly at Shelton on Instagram.
The pair wasn’t together during this award show to snag the trophy for sweetest couple, but they stole the show last month at the Billboard Music Awards with their cute PDA.

“Wow! That was pretty cool. I had a good feeling,” he said last month during his acceptance speech for top country artist at the BBMAs after sharing a sweet congratulatory kiss with Stefani, who cheered him on from the audience. “I felt like I was the luckiest guy in the room anyway because Gwen is here with me, so I had a good feeling about it.”
The 2017 CMT Awards air live from Nashville on CMT on Wednesday, June 7 at 8 p.m. EST.
