Chris Young is already a chart-topping singer/songwriter – and now he can add role model to his résumé.

At the YoungArts organization’s annual Backyard Ball in January, Young was honored with the organization’s Arison Alumni Award for his outstanding career achievements. Young is a former member of the YoungArts program (uh, no relation), which looks to find and support the next generation of artists.

Piggybacking on that news, the singer just announced he’ll be joining forces with fellow country artist Lee Brice for a co-headlining tour, kicking off in Syracuse, New York, on Jan. 22.

“Lee and I had a blast last year when we were out with Brad [Paisley] and so we thought it would be great to join up for a co-headlining tour for our fans this winter,” says Young, 29. “I can’t wait to kick things off in Syracuse later this month and head west all the way to Hawaii!”

“Chris and I have been talking about touring together again for a while,” adds Brice, 35. “We have a lot of fun together.”
