Brad Paisley Performs Surprise Concert for Troops in Afghanistan
The country star referred to the performance as "the honor of my life"
In honor of Memorial Day, Brad Paisley thanked the troops the best way he knew how: with a song.
The country star, 41, made a surprise stop by Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan on Sunday to play an hour-long acoustic set for about 3,000 U.S. troops.
Taking the stage after flying in with President Barack Obama via the Air Force One, Paisley referred to the performance as “the honor of my life.”
“God bless our military,” he Tweeted before the show.
