The Academy of Country Music Awards – which air on CBS this Sunday, April 19, from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – is the biggest night of the year for country artists, fans and voluminous hairstyles.

Three-time ACM Awards hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, whose bromance we adore, are back, and presenters include Jamie Lynn Spears, Lee Brice and Joel McHale. An impressive range of country and non-country artists are scheduled to perform, too, including Nick Jonas, Christina Aguilera, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. (And our fingers are crossed that Taylor Swift, who’s on a bit of a country hiatus, will show up to accept her 50th Anniversary Milestone Award in person, since Swift in attendance = Swift dancing greatness.)

We eagerly anticipate the glittery outfits, bedazzled cowboy boots and McHale’s wisecracking, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the music. So here are the award-nominated songs you need to know before the big night, put together by Google Play Music curators.
