This holiday season, gift-giving videos made the rounds on social media with surprises, screams and gratitude but one video in particular went viral: a heartwarming exchange between a father and his son on Christmas.

Antonio Vargas decided to make this year’s gift for his son extra special after he lost his mother in July. What seemed like a regular teddy bear ended up being a gift like no other. Pressing the bear, the boy heard his late mom’s voice. When he heard his mom talking, he immediately burst into tears and tightly clutched the stuffed teddy, decked in Christmas clothing, to his chest.

“I love you to the world and back,” she says. In another recording, she says: “Give me a big hug. I love you,” and in another: “I love you guys so much and I will always love you.”

Vargas documented the entire journey in the video, from the setup at the Build-a-Bear store to the tearjerking moment when he gifted it to his son.

Vargas shared the video on Facebook with a caption that read: “This is a real big touching moment as a parent prepping this monkey to have a heartbeat and to speak to my son, so that my son can hear his mother’s voice again. She passed away on July 4. We always called our son our little monkey. So on Christmas Day, his dream came true!!! I love my little man with all my heart, Daddy loves you.”
