When photographers tried to take pictures of Camila Cabello at LAX, she used the moment to put on a show.
Although celebrities might try to hide from the paparazzi, or simply act like they’re not there, Camila Cabello decided to have some fun with photographers while passing through airport security at Los Angeles International (LAX) on her way to Buenos Aires, Argentina for the 2018 Lollapalooza music festival on March 16-18. When the cameras began flashing at the “Havana” singer, she used the moment to put on a photo shoot and then later tweet about it.
“It’s kinda like when life throws u lemons, make lemonade,” Cabello, who is gearing up to go on tour with Taylor Swift and Charli XCX this summer, tweeted jokingly. “If they’re taking pictures, might as well be a photoshoot.”
Fans of the Cuban-American singer loved her goofy, viral moment with one person tweeting, “Celebrities are supposed to hate papz and Camila’s out there doing a photoshoot for them. The definition of precious,” while another wrote, “I love you and your dorky self, please never change.” Fellow music artist Kehlani even turned one of the photos into a meme writing, “When they say they’re over it but all their post online r about you.”
Cabello now joins the select group of celebrities who have trolled the paparazzi, which includes Daniel Radcliffe, Jim Carrey and Jennifer Lawrence. Lawrence left a New York City restaurant in 2015 putting on a show for the paparazzi and making the sidewalk her runway. The Oscar-winning actress made silly faces while strutting the streets and then popped chopsticks into her mouth, mugging them up to look like walrus teeth. Carrey and his ex-girlfriend Jenny McCarthy made headlines when the actor squeezed into her sexy swimsuit after right she had worn it on the beach.
