Though the couple briefly split earlier this month after seven months of dating, the duo seemingly confirmed their reconciliation when they were spotted recently showing some PDA in New York City. “They have been working on their communication and being honest with each other and so far things are great,” says a Hadid source, who confirms the duo are “back together.” “They were fighting all the time and Gigi caught Zayn in a handful of lies and couldn’t take the mystery anymore, so she dumped him.” According to the source, the breakup didn’t stick because the former One Direction band member “kept incessantly apologizing and wanted another chance.” RELATED VIDEO: Are Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Still Together? “Gigi gave it to him, and now he’s determined to prove himself to her.,” adds the source. “Everything’s good at the moment, but things could change overnight. Zayn is really going to need to continue to prove himself to her. Otherwise, she may not stick around.” Hadid, 21, and Malik, 23, have been spending time together in his native London while he deals with the “worst anxiety of [his] career,” which forced him to cancel his Capital Summertime Ball appearance. The model shared a long message of support on Twitter writing, “Love you and so proud of you always.”
