The funnyman reportedly tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Quinn Lundberg in Vancouver
The paparazzi are suffering a media hangover.
Zach Galifianakis, 42, was supposed to marry fiancée Quinn Lundberg last weekend in Canada – based on their invite and multiple reports of a rehearsal dinner at the Tea House in Vancouver’s Stanley Park last Thursday.
But after Thursday, there was nothing but media silence.
“The couple pulled a three-card Monte and kept us guessing on where the event would actually take place,” reports the local gossip site Vancitybuzz.com. “Having paparazzi posted at all the Greek Orthodox churches in the Vancouver area, frustration grew as Zach and Quinn were no shows.”
In the end, the site says, the intensely private funnyman did tie the knot in a private ceremony at UBC Farm – literally a farm linked to the University of British Columbia, Vancitybuzz says.
The farm has hosted many “rustic weddings” amid trees and crops, and it had posted a message announcing that it was closing early on Saturday.
There was no independent confirmation from the star of The Campaign and The Hangover.
Galifianakis has dated Lundberg for several years, according to a 2011 cover story in Rolling Stone. “Quinn is the coolest,” he told the magazine of his girlfriend, who runs a nonprofit that helps Third World charities. “The coolest.”
Could little ones be far behind? “I’ve been wanting kids for 10 years,” the actor told Rolling Stone. “I’d love to adopt, have them naturally – all of it. I want, like, 15.”
