The more people Donald Trump gets rid of on NBC’s “The Apprentice,” the better the business for Atlanta-based T-shirt manufacturer Michael Hecht.

Hecht, who owns the Project E sportswear company, supplies New York’s flagship Bloomingdale’s department store with the T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan “You’re Fired!” — Trump’s signature saying on the show.

“We shipped 300 to the New York store, and they sold out in three hours,” Hecht tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Men’s models go for $36 (retail) and are available in white and charcoal, says the paper, which also reports that the version for women — available only at Bloomie’s — costs $24 and comes in gray/ white or white/red.

“I wish I could tell you I’m the genius behind this, but I’m not,” Hecht tells the Journal-Constitution. “We do a lot of (licensing agreement) work for Bloomingdale’s, and the Trump organization contacted them about doing a T-shirt line. Luckily, we’ve had a good enough reputation with Bloomingdale’s established, and they referred the Trump organization to us.”

The T-shirts, which went on sale in New York last week, are scheduled to “go wide” into other Bloomingdale’s stores nationwide sometime this week. Orders, says Hecht, are up to 3,000 shirts, and growing.

And wait — there’s more, timed for the upcoming second season of “The Apprentice.” “We’ll be pulling some of the other catchphrases from the show, possibly something like, ‘Up to the suite and down to the street,’ or probably another ‘You’re Fired!’ version with (Trump’s) signature at the bottom.”

No word on what The Donald’s cut from the T-shirt sales might be.
