Seven new acts have joined the Woodstock ’99 musical lineup, which features a reunion of the original members of the funk band Parliament-Funkadelic, including George Clinton, Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell. Elvis Costello, Al Green, Bruce Hornsby, heavy metal artists Megadeth, the rap and hip-hop group The Roots and rockers Sevendust have also agreed to perform at the 30th anniversary festival, organizers said. Woodstock ’99 is scheduled for July 23-25 at the former Griffiss Air Force Base I Rome, N.Y.

  • Among the more than 40 performers already slated to appear are Collective Soul, Counting Crows, the Dave Matthews Band, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morisette, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica and the one, the only Willie Nelson.
