James Woods, 54, will fill Marlon Brando’s shoes and priest’s robe in “Scary Movie 2,” says the Hollywood Reporter. Brando, 77, cited health and availability issues and left a cameo role in the horror-spoof sequel last month. The sequence reportedly has to do with the gag opening of the picture, in which a priest (Woods) is meant to perform an exorcism. Woods will be joining ensemble cast that includes Tori Spelling, Andy Richter, Chris Elliott and Tim Curry. The movie has been shooting since Feb. 13 and is due for a schedule release on July 4. When the original “Scary Movie” opened last summer, it enjoyed the biggest opening ever for an R-rated film — $42.3 million — and then went on to make more than $157 million at the box office. A sequel was inevitable.
