Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush posted victories Monday night in the Iowa caucuses, the first voting of the 2000 Presidential campaign. Bill Bradley (with 35% of the vote) greatly trailed his rival Gore (63%), while Steve Forbes pulled a respectable 30% of the Republican vote (to Bush’s 41%). Republican John McCain only drew 5% of the vote, but he’s been concentrating on next week’s New Hampshire caucus.
