Who Really Rates with Kids?

Despite his problems last year, President Clinton emerged as the world’s most important person, as ranked by adolescents aged 6 to 14 for the current edition of the “World Almanac for Kids.” Clinton, the top choice among 30% of the poll’s respondents, outranked such other comers as Pope John Paul II (20.6%) and Microsoft founder Bill Gates (15%). Other names to make the list included Michael Jordan, “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling and “My Mom,” who, with 20.4% of the vote, was narrowly edged out by the Pope.
